You set it up

Download My Home Call on your phone, register your child and add their trusted contact. Practise using it together before they need it.

STEP 2

They borrow a smartphone

With the owner’s permission, they visit myhomecall.com on an internet connected smartphone and tap “Identify me”. No app download is needed on that phone.

STEP 3

They identify and connect

They enter their name and scan their face, then call or send a pre-written message to their trusted contact. The message shares their what3words location so their contact knows where they are.

What parents need to know before getting started.

No. Once you’ve registered them, your child can use someone else’s internet-connected smartphone, with the owner’s permission, to connect with their trusted contact.

No. They visit myhomecall.com in the phone’s browser and tap “Identify me”. There’s no app to download on the borrowed phone.

They need to know their name and how to find myhomecall.com. If their school has added a My Home Call link to its website, they can also access it there.

They identify themselves using a face scan, so there’s no password or trusted contact’s phone number to remember. Practise the steps together before they need to use it.
